THE 1st NATIONAL VIRTUAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2021
Amidst the growing cases of COVID- 19 in 2020, Thomas George and Associates had set out to do something unique and organised a Virtual Moot Court Competition. With entries from over 12 teams in the first installment, the competition saw great success.
The theme of the competition focused on Privacy and Data Protection Laws, a discipline of law which has not been explored much, making it quite challenging. Despite this, the teams put in admirable efforts and were ready in time for the Competition, which commenced with Memorial Rounds.
What was even more unique about this competition was that this was one of the first times when the memorials were exchanged online!
After scrutinising all the memorials, a detailed rank wise score list for the memorials was published and the where it was concluded that the team- Karan & Harsh emerged victorious after scoring 92.5 for their memorial.

The teams commenced to the arguments portion of the competition with the team Umang & Mudit winning the Best Team award after presenting a formidable argument for their case!
The winners of the Competition- Umang and Mudit won the award for Best Team and Karan and Harsh won the award for the Best Memorial.
All teams were provided participation certificates in recognition of all the hard work they put in. And the teams that won Best Team, Best Memorial, and Best Speaker won cash prizes along with certificates of merit.
